At least seven people, including three children, have been killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a Black Sea beach resort in Russia's Krasnodar Region, regional authorities said.
The attack hit Arkhipo-Osipovka, a popular holiday village in the Gelendzhik municipality, on the morning of 3 August. The regional operational headquarters said the death toll had risen to seven and that 40 people had been injured. Twenty-one of the injured were taken to hospital, while another 19 were receiving outpatient medical treatment.
The casualty figures were released through the regional authorities' official channel on the Max messaging platform. Officials did not immediately say how many drones were involved, what type of drone was used, or whether any warning had been given before the strike.
Arkhipo-Osipovka lies on the Black Sea coast and is part of the wider Gelendzhik resort area, a popular summer destination in southern Russia.
